This one is a two-vineyard blend: Greyhorse in Yamhill-Carlton for weight and ripeness, and Morning Mist up in Sheridan for tension and acid. Different sites, different personalities, better together than either one alone. That's usually how it goes.
Whole cluster, foot-stomped, 45 days on skins, 18 months in neutral French oak. Light purple in the glass, mushroom and plum on the nose, acid forward with lighter tannin than you'd expect. 500 cases, which makes it our most accessible wine and one of our favorites to drink on a Tuesday. Salmon, mushroom risotto, mild curries. Or just whatever's in the fridge.
