Sunland Vineyard — organic farming practices
Yakima Valley AVA
Our small Counoise block was harvested in early October as temperatures started to cool down in Yakima. Like most of our red fermentations, we chose to macerate and ferment the grapes with the stems intact. The resulting wine was aged in neutral French oak for 2 years before bottling.
Deep cherry, damp earth, and white pepper aromas emanate from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and very fruit forward with an ambience of spice and pepper. Try this alongside roasted eggplant or rosemary grilled lamp chops.
