100% Wente Clone Chardonnay

Inspired by some of our favorite wine from the Jura region of France, this dry, full-bodied cuveé is a change of pace from our past Chardonnay releases. The nose expresses spicy, ripe pear and brioche notes and the palate is full with a rich, salty, nutty finish. Pair with bacalhau, heavier soups, or just bread and really good butter or olive oil.
The grapes were direct-pressed and aged in neutral French oak barrels for 22 months. We left half of our barrels "untopped" to let the wine age in a more oxidative style.
