Lacewing Vineyard

Planted in 1968 practicing organic
100% Mariafeld clone Pinot Noir, a clone native to Switzerland that shows higher total acidity and crunchy skins.
The 2021 Pinot Noir from Lacewing Vineyard is some of the most beautiful Pinot Noir that I have seen over my 24 harvests as a winemaker.
Harvested in early October 2021, the grapes macerated for 30 days with whole cluster fermentation. Foot stomped 1-2 times daily during fermentation then aged in 500 and 600 liter used French oak barrels for 10 months.
A nose of green forest floor, mushroom, dark cherry. The palate expresses red fruits, cocoa, and green leaves.
This wine is meant for aging, we recommend decanting before drinking if opening early.
